Yamaha Silent Guitars

The Silent Guitars are fine examples of Yamaha's unique capability to combine modern and traditional elements into instruments that are truly innovative and versatile. Utilizing an original design in combination with quality electronics these hybrid instruments deliver outstanding tone and playability that is just as at home on the stage or in the studio, as it is in your living room or dorm room. The series consists of three models: the steel stringed SLG100S, nylon stringed SLG100N, and wide neck nylon stringed SLG100NW'an instrument designed with the classical guitarist in mind with a wider fingerboard for extended playability. All three guitars utilize proprietary Yamaha electronics matched with advanced pickup systems that have been chosen to deliver the utmost in realistic tone from each instrument. While headphones allow for private practice, the instruments plug into an amplifier or a sound system for powerful live performance. Built-in DSP processing adds the warmth of reverb without having to plug into any outboard processing gear or effects, and solid body designs let you turn up the volume without the worry of annoying feedback when playing live. When it's time to pack up and move on, the composite body quickly breaks down and fits into a compact soft case for easy transport. To see how versatile these instruments really are, visit your local Yamaha dealer and ask for a demonstration. And remember, you don't have to stay silent.

DeVillain Guitar Co's Centerfold Guitar

The world’s first folding guitar that actually solves the problem of “where should the strings go when I fold the neck”. How are strings packaged when you buy them? Rolled up in a paper sleeve. If that’s the way strings are sold, it must also be a pretty good way to store them when the guitar is folded. That’s why the Centerfold collects the strings on a roll when you fold the neck.

The Centerfold is hand built in Sweden using only high end components and the finest pieces of tone wood. This is a guitar of the highest quality for dedicated players. The neck joint is made of airplane aluminum and locks the neck to the body in a way that’s superior to ordinary bolt-on necks. This construction together with high end components and quality tone woods makes this guitar a fantastic instrument. We use nitrocellulose lacquers and oil finishes to further strengthen the tonal qualities, the wooden feel and the look of our guitars.
